Skid Steer Auger Drive Units

Standard Flow Skid Steers (6-30 GPM, Max Horsepower: 34)

For Standard Flow Skid Steers, Digga offers the product range between 1DSS Auger Drive to the 4DSS Auger Drive Units. These drives range between a max torque output of 1,712 ft/lbs (1DSS) to 3,821 ft/lbs (4DSS). That's a lot of torque packed into a small package!

High-Flow Skid Steers (Max 36 GPM, Max Horsepower: 55)

For the High-Flow Skid Steer Machines, Digga's product line ranges from the 4DDS High-Flow Auger Drive to the 6DDS High-Flow Auger Drive. The 6DDS caps out at a whopping maximum torque output of 5,728 ft/lbs! Think of the smooth, buttery drilling experience you'll have with that monster! If you've got a high-flow Skid Steer, it's a no-brainer to take advantage of that massive performance increase.

Two-Speed Auger Drives for High-Flow Skid Steers

Now that we're up there in Horsepower, this is where Digga's mechanical prowess really shines. Offered only to the High-Flow Skid Steers, Digga has a Two-Speed Auger Drive Unit product line, the 5DDT Two-Speed High Flow Auger Drive and the 6DDT Two-Speed High Flow Auger Drive, that give you an entire new avenue of flexibility with your drilling jobs.

We know that Auger Drive Units are an investment, so if you want to ensure that you can handle any jobs you come across in the future, no matter the ground conditions or landscape, these drives are the crown prince of Digga's Skid Steer product lines.

Skid Steer Auger Mounting Frames

Standard Skid Steer Auger Mounting Frames

If you're just looking for a sturdy, reliable mounting frame that will place your drive unit exactly at your attachment connector, Digga offers two options for you. The first, a Fixed-Center Skid Steer Auger Mounting Bracket, will place your Auger Drive dead-center on your Skid-Steer Quick-Tach.

This is great, but if you're dealing with tricky landscapes, you may need more flexibility. Luckily, Digga also offers a Side-Shift Sliding Mount for Skid Steers only, so that you can add lateral movement to your Drive Unit's positioning on your machine.

Extension Auger Mounting Brackets for Skid Steers

When the job calls for particularly deep drilling depths, you may find yourself using an Auger Shaft Extension to increase the reach of your Auger Bit.

However, that begins to present a problem when you're at ground-level making your drilling entry -- in order to get your Auger vertical, you may need an Extension Auger Mounting Bracket. This is old news to Digga, though, they have over 40 years of experience, remember? Not only do they offer a Skid Steer TPE Extension Mounting Bracket (and extended hoses as well), but they offer a Large TPE Extension Mounting Bracket too! You'll have everything you need to outfit your Skid Steer for those tricky drill jobs.

Standard Flow Skid Steer Earth Auger Bits

Digga's A4 Auger Bit is tailor-made for Standard Flow Skid Steers. Offered in Diameters ranging from 6" to 36", this flat-tooth auger bit with chisel ripping teeth is ideal for general earth & clay drilling. If you're looking for a Skid Steer auger for a 6" Fence Post, we recommend the 12" variant. For drilling a 4" Fence Post, we recommend the 9".

High-Flow Skid Steer Earth Auger Bits

For High-Flow Machines using the High-Flow Auger Drives above, Digga recommends the A6 Earth Auger Bit. This packs a bit more of a punch than the A4 and reaches diameters of up to 48".

The sister bit to the A4, Digga's RC4 Earth/Rock Combo Auger Bit offers all of the benefits of the A4 plus the superior penetrating ability of the B7 taper tooth head. This comes complete with all-purpose taper teeth, absolutely perfect for combination drilling in all conditions from earth to medium rock.

High-Flow Skid Steer Earth/Rock Combo Auger Bits

For your High-Flow Skid Steers, if you want an incredible all-purpose auger bit, the RC6 Earth/Rock Combination Auger Bit is exactly what you need. The 6-series bits are perfect for machines with higher down pressure and greater torque, ensuring that you can tear through whatever earth or rock you come across and leave a beautiful clean hole each time.
